a giraffe and his green tie

A friend of mine ordered a mega version of my giraffe with a tie and this is the cute result!
I originally tried to knit the tie, but it looked more like a scarf since I was using mohair, so I sewed one up. This was actually my first time sewing a tie, and I’m pretty proud of myself :)

Fleece Giraffe Plush
This was the gift I made for my cousin and his wife’s baby shower. It was my first time sewing an actual plush so I was kinda nervous. It took me 2 drafts to get it right, so I finished the day before the shower. It was a little stressful, but the results were worth it!
Everything was hand-stitched except for the actual body.

Matokeke isn’t as detailed as my Kekemato because of the major decrease in size. The customer also requested for a blue ring on the right hand. I was originally going to use a blue jump ring, but they don’t sell colored ones here were I live, so I bought some blue wire and shaped it into a ring.

2/6 matoki down! Totomato was surprisingly easy to make! The only part I had difficulty with was the crank on his head. I kind of regret not being able to do all the detailing on it (arm stripes and the drips coming from the crank), but there wasn’t much I could do since it’s smaller in size.

I have a bunch of old crafting confetti that has just been sitting in my drawer. I somehow came up with the idea of making a cuff, using the stars to decorate it.
